The Role and Requirements:

The successful candidate will be at the heart of the Inmarsat brand, working in the corporate marketing department as part of the Digital team.  Additionally, this position plays a vital role in the successful communication of our Business Unit objectives.   


As the Web Development Executive, you will be the primary point of contact for the Digital team in maintaining and updating the corporate website, the partner website, externally hosted sites and producing digital email marketing campaigns. You will report to the Web Development Manager and work closely with the Digital Content Manager and other key stakeholders to determine what information is required on the websites and in the digital marketing campaigns. As the Web Development Executive, you will ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting tight deadlines. You must have an outstanding attention to detail, be very organised and have strong communication and time management skills.


This position lies at the core of Inmarsat’s digital marketing information flow. You will contribute to the briefing process, and assist and support the delivery of projects to meet exacting deadlines by managing each step in the workflow. Applying industry-standard approaches to design, coding and leading web technologies across all digital channels and online communications materials, this role provides a pivotal link between our brand objectives and our offline communications.

Job Requirements

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Day-to-day updating of the corporate website, the partner website and other externally hosted websites
  • Maintain the Marketing Automation system (Pardot), developing responsive email templates, forms and landing pages, and build automated data processes
  • Manage the asset library (PDFs, videos, images, etc)
  • Assist in redeveloping existing web pages where required
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure new material and content is displayed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Contribute to the design, delivery and performance of all email marketing activity
  • Identify content errors, publish new content and ensure proper page layout and style
  • Workflow management and documenting changes
  • Manage and respond to feedback and questions sent to the webmaster inbox

Essential knowledge and skills:

  • Educated to degree level with excellent oral and written command of English
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience of web content management (such as Wordpress)
  • Experience with Pardot or other marketing automation systems
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and email marketing metrics
  • Effective at building relationships, ability to work within a matrix framework
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to deliver to demanding deadlines
  • Enthusiastic team player who can also work on own initiatives


Desirable skills

  • Some background in marketing communications and/or content management
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry or B2B is an advantage
  • Able to work in a transparent manner, utilising project management software and ready to provide updates at any time
  • Experience of dealing with external digital agencies
