Job Description

The role of the Business Analysis team is to drive the business requirements process, responding to, and anticipating market demand for new developments and to establish, in conjunction with product and engineering development teams, well-scoped, costed and resourced platform programmes to meet those demands.

The team works with cross-functional teams and business units to understand, challenge and provide thought leadership on strategy to achieve the company’s goals through business and technology transformation. Job Requirements

Primary Role Purpose:

The post holder’s primary responsibility for will be the delivery of robust requirements into the SDT Programme. This is a significant programme with challenging timelines, and the post holder’s ability to maintain focus on customer first design will be a significant factor in the ultimate success of the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams
  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to capture, analyse and document business and operational requirements.
  • Lead and facilitate process and value stream discussions, develop customer journeys, use cases, platform requirements
  • Derive, document, prioritize, communicate, and gain approval for business, functional, data, integration, migration and technical requirements
  • Analyse and assess requirements to identify upstream and downstream system and process impacts to proactively communicate impacts, risks, and solutions to other technology and business owners
  • Assist in scrum planning, release structure, and support the programme through delivery and commercial roll-out
  • Assist in the communication and implementation of business process and systems/systems interfaces, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide input to training and reference collateral.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, whilst participating fully as a member of the Business Analysis team.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Good analytical skills, coupled with a logical, disciplined and structured approach to documentation and procedures.
  • Flexible and dynamic personality.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication. Assertive and confident raising action points with senior individuals.
  • Experience of working on major projects
  • Experience/knowledge of a range of billing platforms
  • Demonstrable effective team leadership and successful delivery of financial and technical performance objectives
  • A background in the fixed or mobile telco operator business would be beneficial
