Job Description

Primary role purpose:

The Senior Field Service Coordinator position has the responsibility to oversee the daily coordination, utilization of resources and handle escalations in EMEA area.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that coordination is carried out productively so as to ensure profitability and efficiency
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties and delegated tasks.
  • First point of escalation for Field Service Coordinators
  • Adapt a coaching role towards Field Service Coordinators
  • Oversee the daily operations and provide management report on a weekly bases
  • Organise and participate in on-call duty rotation scheme
  • Participate in daily coordination
  • Train new employees/arrange training for existing employees on new systems and/or procedures
  • Liaise with Service Delivery – Project Coordinators to ensure coverage on all type of jobs
  • Provide input to Head of Field Service on targets and performance reviews

The Senior Field Service Coordinator might be given other tasks or duties by the Head of Field Service.

The above-mentioned job tasks are meant as a general description and further job contents will continuously be considered and agreed upon in cooperation with the management.


Essential Knowledge and Skills:      

Theoretical background

  • Technical degree on Diploma level or Bachelor level
  • Lack of education can be replaced by relevant experience

Practical background

  • 3-5 years’ experience within technical resource coordination
  • Other relevant experience


Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • Positive and friendly attitude towards colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational and structural capabilities
  • Independent in his/her work
  • Ability to think practical and be solution orientated
  • Strong drive to complete the tasks/arrangements according to customer’s request (as much as possible)
  • Ability to coach others employees in the right direction and develop them where improvement is needed.
  • Ability to identify with the Inmarsat values
  • Fluent in English both orally and in writing
