Job Description

This is a Fixed Term Contract role for 9 Months.

Primary role purpose:

The Marketing and Events Manager role for G2 is a crucial tactical role. It not only provides input into the marketing direction of the business unit, but also ensures that the planning and implementation of associated activities run on time and on budget, ensuring a positive impact on market penetration and customer satisfaction for G2 services within the global market place.

The manager works closely with the other members of the marketing team to ensure that the image of G2 both internally and externally is of a forward thinking, professional outfit who seeks to maximise end user satisfaction and promote the status of Inmarsat and G2.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate and manage all customer facing marketing events for the G2 team and ensure that the management of these is on time and on budget. To liaise with sales, market development and offer development teams to establish a plan that fulfils G2 objectives and priorities across all market sectors and geographies.
  • To work with Design Manager and Director Marketing to establish and maintain a compelling online, social media, video and print image for the business both directly and through partners that demonstrates clear wider purpose and generates positive sentiment in the market. THis will include liaising with sponsored campaigns and partners to collate pictures and stories for use in such campaigns.
  • To become the G2 Pardot in-house expert in using this tool to maximise our online efficiency  to ensure that there is complete synchronisation with SFDC.
  • To push customer facing G2 team members to ensure that SFDC is updated with correct information following completion of marketing campaigns and to conduct monthly audits of compliance
  • To support the leadership team to create and maintain a thought leadership profile
  • To represent G2 Marketing at all London based activities such as marketing meetings, briefings etc and to provide a debrief to marketing director at Weekly One to One meetings
  • To work with corporate PR, media liaison and Social media teams to keep them abreast of G2 activities including LiftOff Management
  • To be responsible for sourcing team building activities in the G2 London office to encourage group bonding
  • Chief responsibility for procurement and PO/PR for G2 marketing through inhouse procurment portals
  • To help manage and book customer and partner collateral so as to improve account management and loyalty schemes
  • To be responsible for G2 Sponsorship activities to ensure we maximise CSR exposure for G2 and Inmarsat



  • To develop strong collaborative links with peers across the other business units and corporate teams to ensure a coherent and aligned overall corporate
