Job Description

Role Context:

Inmarsat has recently established a Global Procurement team who will support the organisation, both today and in the future.  The business has been acquisitive and is going through a period of integration and consolidation.  As part of this Global team the Contract Operations team are responsible for negotiating and implementing contracts with our key customers.  These are important revenue generating contracts across each of the business units.  The role includes administrative support the Contract Operations team, in their work to develop and sustain close working relationships with the BU sales teams, Pricing and Legal to ensure successful implementation of standard contractual frameworks. 


Primary Purpose:

To provide administrative support to both the Contract and Procurement Operations teams

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Head of Procurement & Contract Operations, with their role implementing operating models for the function
  2. Ensure the orderly and effective running of the contract operations team from an administration perspective
  3. Weekly reporting on key priorities, open items and KPIs to feed into management reporting
  4. Support team with contract signature and governance processes
  5. Update and maintain contract database/filing systems as may be required
  6. Scanning, filing (logging) and photocopying as required by the broader function
  7. Support the functional workload tracking tools with data collection and entry
  8. Order stationery, book travel, arrange meeting rooms, register/collect guests etc. for the broader procurement function
  9. Act as support / cover for the procurement administrator/master data analyst if required


Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience of a busy ‘service delivery’ environment
  • Learns quickly and not afraid to ask questions
  • Excellent prioritisation / organisation skills
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the business
  • Excellent spoken and written English linked with strong interpersonal / stakeholder skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, a logical thinker with high standard of work
  • Strong IT skills (MS office (word, excel, power point))


Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • May have experience working in a busy commercial team
  • Experience working in a complex global or multisite office environment
  • Some legal experience in terms of the relevance, and context of different commercial agreements
  • Works well under pressure
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce
