Job Description

Primary role purpose:

It is about identifying, implementing and maintaining the right compensation structures to support the strategic direction of the business and our unique culture. It is about balancing what is affordable and what makes us competitive in the market. The Inmarsat Reward Team is currently presenting an exciting opportunity for a Compensation Analyst who will work closely with the Group Compensation Manager and will be actively involved in the operation, administration and development of compensation programs and initiatives across the group.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate pay benchmarking activities, including job matching, job evaluation, market pricings, participation in salary surveys and market analysis
  • Contribute to the successful planning and execution of the annual reward cycle activities, including pay review and year-end bonus awards, by providing proactive and timely support
  • Undertake research, conduct analysis and prepare reports to assist in the review of current structures, policies and processes and in the design and implementation of new structures
  • Handle compensation related inquiries and requests and escalate more complex issues to ensure excellent customer service to stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively within the reward team, providing back up and support on all areas of reward as required

 

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to provide a high level of prompt and effective customer service in a fast-paced team environment
  • A “can-do” attitude, flexible and pro-active
  • Good collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive & confidential issues discretely
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Confident in using MS Excel e.g. “if” formula, v look-ups or index match, nested formulas
  • 1-3 years of related experience

 

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • A good understanding of job matching methodologies (e.g. Radford preferable)
  • Understanding of job architecture, job families and grading frameworks
  • Experience of pay reviews and bonus plans
  • Experience with financial modelling
  • Experience of working in an international corporation
