Primary role purpose:

The Benefits Coordinator will be part of the Inmarsat Reward team located in London, reporting to the Group Benefits Manager.

This role will primarily provide benefits administration support to employees in London and various international locations.  In addition, the role may provide basic support in pulling reports and sending information to brokers for the purpose of renewals.

Working closely with the Group Benefits Manager and Group Pensions Manager, the Administrator will be responsible for providing Benefit and Pensions support to HR and the Business performing activities associated with the delivery, implementation, and administration of Reward programs that support the performance & reward philosophy.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

UK benefits:

  • Day to day administration including processing starters and leavers via third party benefit and pension portals in respect of mandatory and voluntary benefits
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies & procedures regarding eligibility & enrolment of employees and dependents
  • Act as primary point of contact for any benefits queries across the business and responding or escalating in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaise with and directing Group payroll and HR Advisors
  • Support annual benefit renewals
  • Point of contact for queries regarding salary sacrifice programmes such as Cycle scheme and Childcare vouchers
  • Payroll checking of UK employee benefits and pensions
  • Carry out audits of benefits data between 3rd party providers and HRIS system. Correct discrepancies as needed.


Other duties

 Processing global benefit invoices for payment, following up where necessary to ensure paid on time

Tracking invoices and costs to ensure accuracy of Reward cost centre forecasting & reporting

Provide benefits support outside the UK as required (e.g. Dubai), working with or independently from regional HR teams

Managing the Group wide recognition scheme - validating nominations and processing awards through to third party vendor

Directly support Group Benefits manager with 2 major projects:

  • Go to market for Group-wide review of broker cover; and
  • Gathering all benefits information by employee across the Group for the purposes of producing total reward statements

Support the Reward team with ad-hoc requests as needed


  • Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to provide a high level of prompt and effective customer service in a fast-paced team environment
  • A “can-do” attitude, flexible and pro-active
  • Good collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive & confidential issues discretely
  • Good attention to detail
  • Confident in using MS Excel e.g. “if” formula, v look-ups or index match
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and basic employee reward principles in UK, including salary sacrifice benefit programmes desirable
